'Recycling is in a transition,' declared Resource Recycling editor Jerry Powell at the late-October E-Scrap Conference in Orlando. 'We're facing a widely different material stream than we had five to 10 years ago. We are out of the weights business and into the counts business.' Other panellists agreed that mobile devices are the future. 'Total units have gone up; this marks a huge opportunity,' it was observed.
